Description: The state will reimburse each high school senior for up to 6 dual credits (or the financial equivalent of $390 for college-bearing/PTE exams) and juniors for 3 dual credits (or the financial equivalent of $190). Each exam can be reimbursed up to $90.

Description: Scholarships for students who graduate 1 complete year or more early to use for Idaho public postsecondary institutions. Scholarship equals 1/3 of student ADA for each year early that they graduate. Roughly $1400/year.

Description: Funding for students who have completed the Idaho state graduation requirements, except for Senior math and Senior project, who take DC courses and college-bearing/PTE exams. State aid is available for up to 18 credits/semester and 12 credits/trimester, up to $75/credit. State aid is also available for up to 6 exams/semester or 4 exams/trimester, up to $90/exam.

Description: GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) started in 1999. This national discretionary grant program is designed to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. National GEAR UP provides six-year grants to states and partnerships to provide services at high-poverty middle and high schools.

Description: When you think about the PSAT, you probably think of it as a pre-SAT. While the PSAT is a great primer for the SAT (and even the ACT), it’s way more than just a trial run for the real thing. More than 3.4 million high school students (mostly juniors and sophomores) take this nationwide multiple-choice test every year. The PSAT won’t count towards your college admissions applications, but it is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship.
